进修 | TCSOL One-year Certificate Program
2016/01/07
The Certificate Program in Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL), co-sponsored by the TESOL and Applied Linguistics Programs at Teachers College, Columbia University, the Chinese Language Program in the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University, and Weatherhead East Asian Institute at Columbia University, provides state-of-the-art training in Chinese pedagogy. Developed and taught by a world-class team of experts, the program offers a cutting-edge curriculum that sets trainees on a fast and efficient track to gain knowledge and skills necessary for operating effectively in current and future classrooms in various contexts.
The program spans 12 week (end) s over one academic year (Fall and Spring semesters) and is ideal for both pre-service teachers and in-service teachers who look to develop or enhance their ability to teach through an accelerated program.
The program particularly welcomes applications from the following groups of people:
Tuition and Fees
In addition to the application, there are several fees included in the program. Here is a short checklist in order to make sure the appropriate fees have been paid at the appropriate times.
Step 1: Application Fee
Upon Completion of the online application with all materials, you will receive an email prompting you to pay a $100 application fee. You application will not be processed until the application fee is paid.
Step 2: Deposit Fee
Upon acceptance to the program, you will be prompted to make a $1,000 non-refundable deposit. Upon special request, a one month extension can be added to the deadline, however otherwise this payment must be paid within two weeks of the date you were accepted to hold your place in the program.
Step 3: Tuition Fee
The total tuition for the 2016-2017 academic year is $12,000 (non-refundable) and the tuition balance is due before the new student orientation in September. This number does include your deposit fee, so the fee paid at this step is $11,000 (as $1,000 will have already been paid).
Late Fee
If either the deposit or tuition fee is not paid before the deadlines specified above, an additional late fee of $50 will be added.
Additional transcripts request
For graduates who are seeking additional transcripts as proof of performance at TCSOL for job or continuing education, there is a $15 administrative fee printing and sending the document to the designated location.
***Please note that all aforementioned fees are non-refundable. ***
