Conference working language: English and Chinese
Conference fee: 400 RMB or 70 US dollars
EAP has been broadly taught in a large number of tertiary institutions around the world. As the growing number of EMI courses has been offered in Asia against the background of the internationalization of higher education, EAP has been increasingly implemented on campuses and taken on new aspects. For example, EAP has been included in the newly-published China College English Teaching Guidelines, an important sign of a paradigm shift in ELT at tertiary level. This conference aims to explore the new developments and stratigies of EAP teaching, and to further spread awareness and expertise in EAP in China and other Asian countries and regions, by offering
1. keynote speeches from two or three internationally renowned EAP experts
2. a forum on the relationship between for EAP and critical thinking
3. parallel/workshop sessions presenting theories, practices and advice on how language teachers and learners can benefit from EAP, inside and out of the classroom. Teachers without any background on EAP can also benefit from them.
4. an opportunity for publishers and software developers to present their products
