Call for Papers
LED 2015 invites submissions of abstracts for individual papers, symposia and posters.
Deadline for submissions: 1 February 2015
Presentation formats
-
Symposium (short) 1.5 hours with 3 contributors
-
Symposium (long) 3 hours with a minimum of 5-6 contributors
-
Papers 25 minutes, with 5 minutes for questions/responses
-
Posters (to be displayed at designated times throughout the conference)
Abstracts should address directly at least one of the key strands of the conference:
-
Bilingual/immersion/indigenous language education
-
English language teaching
-
Language policy and planning
-
Literacy education (educational and/or community-based)
-
All abstracts will be double blind reviewed.

Abstract Submission Guidelines
Don't worry if you do not have the final version of your submission right now. You will have the ability to login and amend your details right up until the deadline for abstract submission closes on 1 February 2015. After this date, your submission will be sent for review for inclusion in the programme.

Evaluation of proposals
Submissions will be evaluated on the basis of the following:

Appropriateness and significance of the topic to the conference themes
-
Originality/significance/impact of the research
-
Clarity/coherence of the abstract in relation to the key research questions, analytical framework(s), description of research, data collection, findings/conclusions
-
(For symposium) Importance/significance of the overarching topic and/or framework(s) addressed, along with the coherence of the individual presentations therein
Conditions of submissions
-
Each presenter may participate in a maximum of two presentations, be it an individual paper, poster, or paper within a symposium.

Abstracts submitted as Papers may be accepted instead as Posters.

Presenters who have been accepted must register for the conference and pay by 24 August 2015. Conference registration will open on 1 February 2015.

All confirmed submissions and presenting authors will be listed on the conference website by late September 2015.

Presenters are required to organise their own travel and accommodation arrangements. The Conference Organisers have secured accommodation at a variety of locations around Auckland and details about this accommodation will be available for booking when registering for the conference.
Important dates

Notification of Acceptance will be no later than 2 April 2015

Very Early Bird registration closes 31 March 2015

Presenters will need to have registered for LED 2015 by no later than 24 August 2015 in order to guarantee a place in the conference programme.
Conference publication/proceedings
Conference proceedings will be produced after the conference. Further details on how to submit full papers for peer review for publication in the conference proceedings will be emailed to presenters following the conference.
